Abu Dhabi Summer Sports Has Officially Begun, Here’s Everything To Know

Planning to indulge in some workout and sports activities but don’t want to do it outdoors? If yes, you will be delighted to know that the famous Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS) is here and has officially begun. It is being held at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), and the event will run until Monday, August 12. Read on to know more about Abu Dhabi Summer Sports.

Abu Dhabi Summer Sports Is Being Held Till August 12

Sprawling over 27,205 square metres, you can partake in various sports like football, padel, basketball, volleyball, badminton and more across 25 indoor courts and fields. The venue offers more than 27 indoor tracks and fields, equipped according to the highest standards and criteria. Besides this, individuals, groups, families, and sports fans can also enjoy varied events and activities at Abu Dhabi Summer Sports.

The indoor venue also offers a running track and CrossFit area and is open to the public for free. Abu Dhabi Summer Sports (ADSS) aims to motivate people to follow a healthy lifestyle and encourages them to engage in some physical activity during the summer. With a temperature-controlled environment, this is the perfect place to burn those extra calories without worrying much about the outdoor heat.

The largest sports event of its kind in the region, you can play professional badminton here with your friends for AED35 at off-peak hours (8 AM to 4 PM) and AED45 during peak hours (4 PM to 1 PM). Cricket fanatics can play cricket on a professional pitch for AED80 during off-peak hours (8 AM to 4 PM and 11 PM to 1 AM) and AED120 during peak hours (4 PM to 10 PM).

The venue offers 3 five-a-side and 2 seven-a-side football fields, 8 padel tennis courts, 1 full basketball court, 2 half basketball courts, 6 badminton courts, and 3 volleyball courts. It offers tons of activities along with parking at Car Park A and Car Park B at ADNEC.
