1. Take Small Sips Of Water During Suhoor:

During Suhoor time in the morning, ensure to keep some time solely for drinking water. Finish your meals, and keep one hour to drink water before starting the fast. Do not chug water; instead, take small sips throughout the hour- this way, you not only feel fresh throughout the day, but the liquid also stays in your body and doesn’t flush out in one go.

2. Include More Water-Based Fruits For Iftar

While breaking the fast, one thing our body needs the most is water, so include fruits like watermelon, grapes, apples and muskmelon that hydrates the body and gives you the much-needed vitamins and minerals. Avoid breaking your fast with any fizzy drink since that leads to dehydration. What you eat during Ramdan has a lot to do with hydrataion and fitness, so include more fruits and veggies in your diet.

3. Limit Your Caffeine Intake:

There’s nothing like a cup of hot pipping Karak or coffee, but during Ramadan, your favourite hot beverages can harm your body in some ways. First and foremost, coffee, tea and soft drinks that contain caffeine will make you go to the toilet more often and cause dehydration. Furthermore, it will also drain your energy and make you crave sugar. So it’s better to limit the intake and not start Iftari by consuming caffeinated beverages.

4. Keep Washing Your Face & Neck Throughout The Day

Washing your face and neck throughout the day maintains your body temperature and keeps your body cool. It soothes your body, helps it deal with the scorching heat and prevents dehydration. Kids fasting for the first time during Ramadan should particularly keep this in mind.

5. Add Vitamin K-Rich Food To Your Meals:

Vitamin K foods like spinach, broccoli, dates, and more coagulate your bones and body to store fluids since they are a natural source of glucose. They also increase the levels of sodium and water in the intestines and help keep your system hydrated.
