If you have always wanted to visit Louvre Abu Dhabi, now is the time to do so because, on Thursday, May 18th, Louvre Abu Dhabi is offering free entry to all UAE residents. Located on Saadiyat Island, the art museum is celebrating International Museum Day and opening its doors to all art lovers. Read on for all the deets.

Head To Louvre Abu Dhabi On May 18 And Enjoy The Art For Free
Louvre Abu Dhabi usually offers free entry to visitors under the age of 18 and above 60, for teachers and people of determination with one companion; however, for International Museum Day, all UAE residents are welcome to experience art like no other for free at Louvre.
International Museum Day was established by the International Council of Museums in 1977, and every year, we celebrate this day with a different theme. Since 2020, it has focused on the Sustainable Development Goals, highlighting the role of museums in shaping shape sustainable futures through educational programmes, exhibitions, community outreach and research.

How Can You Get A Free Entry?
Carry your Emirates ID with you, present it there, and you can enter for free. You can visit the galleries, exhibition and boutique till 8:30 PM and restaurants till Midnight.
In fact not only Abu Dhabi but Dubai is also celebrating International Museum Day with Expo City Dubai offering a free entry to all the visitors on Friday, May 19.
Visitors will get free entry to Alif-the Mobility Pavilion, Terra-the Sustainability Pavilion, The Women’s and Vision Pavilions and the three Stories of Nations Pavilions. Besides this, keeping the theme of International Museum Day in mind- Museums, Sustainability, and Well-being, the attraction will host curated educational programmes and a treasure hunt.
The pavilions are open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM, so make the most of it, while entry is free on May 19. For activities, Terra will screen climate-focused films in collaboration with the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, and host informative tours, storytelling sessions, physical theatre workshops and a ‘tinker table’ for play-based learning. Visitors of all ages can partake in several craft activities at the Women’s and Vision Pavilions, and young minds can build robot hands in a Lego workshop and learn about motors, sensors, and the basic principles of engineering at Alif.
