Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi Unveils 60+ Slides and Rides in Massive Lost City Expansion

Starting 1 July 2025, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi will officially open the gates to its largest expansion to date. Dubbed the Lost City, this 13,445 sq m expansion adds 20 new attractions—from record slides to play zones and dining spots.

Now featuring 60+ water rides, Yas Waterworld cements its place as Abu Dhabi’s top summer spot.

What to Expect from the Lost City Expansion

20 New Rides and Slides for Every Age Group

The expansion brings a mix of adrenaline-packed adventures and family-friendly fun:

  • Al Mafras – A twisty desert-themed slide created just for younger visitors.
  • Red Dunes – A closed aqua tube slide delivering heart-racing speed and sharp turns.
  • Al Falaj Race – The region’s first duelling tube raft ride, where riders race side-by-side through sharp drops and fast corners.
  • Al Sahel Junior – A mini zero-gravity boomerango made for kids looking to test their bravery.
  • Dawwama Junior – A tamer, child-friendly version of the park’s famous tornado ride.
  • Bahamut’s Rage – A log flume-style water ride with steep plunges designed for those craving a rush.

Fun Beyond the Thrills

Family Attractions and Immersive Zones

Yas Waterworld’s newest attractions aren’t just for thrill-seekers. The Lost City includes:

  • Mataha Madness and Sadaf Swirl – Group rides perfect for shared family fun.
  • Bandit’s Playground – Part of the newly built Bandit’s Village, this area features interactive splash zones and imaginative water play for younger guests.

The theme continues the park’s original “Legend of the Lost Pearl” narrative, immersing guests into a mythical desert world where every slide and corner tells a story.

Enhanced Facilities for Visitors

To complement the new attractions, the park is also introducing a modern dining experience for visitors looking to refuel in between rides. Shaded seating, expanded walkways, and improved visitor flow ensure comfort even during peak hours.

For residents of Dubai and the wider UAE, Yas Waterworld’s latest expansion makes it a strong summer contender for weekend getaways or school holiday plans. With a location just over an hour from Dubai via Sheikh Zayed Road, it offers an exciting break from the city’s heat with world-class entertainment for all ages.

With thrills, family fun, and storytelling, it’s a rare all-ages destination in the region.

Plan Your Trip

With the summer holiday season just around the corner, residents are advised to book tickets in advance and consider early morning or late afternoon visits to enjoy the park during cooler hours. Yas Waterworld also offers seasonal passes and multi-park bundles for those interested in exploring neighbouring attractions like Ferrari World and Warner Bros. World.

Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi’s Lost City expansion cements its reputation as the UAE’s premier water adventure park. With 60+ attractions for all ages, it’s shaping up to be a summer standout.

Families, thrill-seekers, and weekend adventurers can now look forward to a richer, more immersive waterpark experience on Yas Island. Mark 1 July 2025 on your calendar—this is one splash you won’t want to miss.
