The internet has been on fire this past week because of Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia (aka BeerBiceps) controversy that refuses to die down! What started as a wildly popular YouTube show with millions of views has now turned into a full-blown legal mess – so much so that Samay had to take down all the episodes of India’s Got Latent! Now filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has stepped into the chat with his own take on the drama.
Vivek Agnihotri Shows Support for Samay Raina!
Agnihotri, known for not holding back on social media, jumped into the controversy and threw some serious shade while addressing Samay Raina’s Kashmiri Pandit heritage. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), he wrote: “Today, as a Kashmiri Pandit, @ReheSamay must have experienced how it feels when people who don’t agree with you come to lynch you. Welcome to the club.”
That’s a bold statement. Looks like Agnihotri sees this backlash as something way bigger than just a YouTube controversy!
Amid the backlash, Samay Raina had no choice but to hit the delete button on all episodes of India’s Got Latent. Heartbroken, he took to social media to share his side of the story, saying: “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly. Thank you.”

What’s the Whole Controversy About?
What exactly landed these YouTubers in hot water? It all boils down to some extremely controversial comments made by Ranveer Allahbadia on India’s Got Latent. Here’s the tea:
- Ranveer allegedly asked a contestant a wildly inappropriate question about body parts.
- He also made an indecent proposal, joking about offering Rs 2 crore for a certain act.
- And the final nail in the coffin? A deeply disturbing hypothetical: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?”
Legal Trouble Incoming! FIR Filed Against Top YouTubers
The controversy isn’t just internet drama anymore, it’s now a legal nightmare. A police complaint has been filed against: Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh and Apoorva Makhija.
The FIR states that the show promoted obscene and sexually explicit content and violates multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Basically, this is not just a “cancel culture” moment – it could have serious legal consequences.
Right now, Samay Raina is laying low, Ranveer Allahbadia is probably scrambling for damage control, and the internet is divided on whether this is a justified backlash or an overreaction. One thing’s for sure – this controversy is far from over!
What’s your take? Did the YouTubers go too far, or is cancel culture getting out of hand? Let us know in the comments!
