Vidya Balan is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. She has managed to pull off any kind of role exceptionally. Now, the actress is set to be back again on the silver screen with her latest thriller Neeyat.
On Thursday, 22 June, Vidya Balan took to her Instagram to unveil the trailer of her new film Neeyat. Talking about the trailer many have said and we agree too that it looks very similar to the 2019 Hollywood film Knives Out. It also gives Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston starrer Murder Mystery vibes. The trailer has managed to bring complete intrigue to the watched.

The trailer begins by transporting us to the stunning Scottish highlands. The irresistible thriller plunges you headfirst into the glitz and glamour of billionaire Ashish Kapoor played by Ram Kapoor and his entangled web of family and friends. But the story starts when Ashish Kapoor meets a grim fate at his lavish soirée. He gets murdered. That’s when the spotlight shifts to the sharp detective Mira Rao. It’s her time to shine as she delves into a labyrinth of secrets and motives.
One thing we would say is that Neeyat’s trailer has managed to keep us on the edge of our seats. We certainly want to know what more this movie hold and how much more the shining Vidya Balan can shine.

This is not the first time Vidya Balan is playing a detective. The actress pulled off this role in the 2014 movie Jagga Jasoos starring Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor.
It also marks the reunion between Vidya Balan and director Anu Menon after the movie Shankuntala Devi.
Apart from Vidya Balan and Ram Kapoor, the movie also stars Rahul Bose, Prajakta Koli, Niki Walia, Shashank Arora, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami, Dipannita Sharma, Danesh Razvi, Ishika Mehra and Madhav Deval.
Produced by Vikram Malhotra of Abundantia Entertainment, the movie is slated to release theatrically on 7 July, 2023.
