UPI Payments in UAE: India and the UAE are teaming up to bring a new way of paying to the streets of Abu Dhabi. During his visit to the UAE, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed that soon, people in Abu Dhabi will be able to use UPI RuPay cards for payments.

Prime Minister Modi and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan signed an agreement that will make UPI cards a reality in Abu Dhabi. The UAE President even made the first swipe with a personalized UPI card, signaling the start of this service in the UAE capital.
