UAE Wrestling Federation Camp in Abu Dhabi Offers Free Summer Training for Kids

Children aged 5 to 9 can sign up for free weekly wrestling camps across Abu Dhabi until August 21, 2025

Parents in Abu Dhabi now have a rewarding way to keep their children active over the summer break. The UAE Wrestling Federation Camp has officially launched its first edition, and it’s completely free for children between the ages of 5 and 9. Running until August 21, 2025, the initiative is designed to offer young participants a structured and enriching experience across different venues in the capital.

The federation has made it clear that its goal goes beyond sport. These sessions are crafted to help children develop important personal qualities such as focus, respect, and patience, all while staying physically active during the school holidays.

Where and When the Camp Is Happening

The camp kicked off on July 7, but registrations for upcoming batches remain open. Sessions will be held Monday through Thursday at well-known locations across Abu Dhabi, including Nabdh Al Falah Community Hub, Berklee Abu Dhabi, and Mubarak Bin Mohammed School.

Each four-day camp is structured around safe, age-appropriate activities that encourage discipline and teamwork. This move is part of a wider effort to make sport more accessible for families in the region.

Children Can Expect Each Week

Participants can look forward to a balanced mix of athletic drills and playful exercises. The activities include:

  • Introductory and advanced wrestling techniques
  • Light fitness and strength-building games
  • Group coordination tasks and partner exercises
  • Friendly match simulations to practise skills

All sessions are led by certified coaches with experience in youth training. The approach ensures children can learn without pressure while still gaining a strong foundation in the sport.

Camp Dates Still Open for Registration

Although the first week has already begun, parents can still sign up their children for one of the upcoming camps. Each session spans four days, and new batches begin every Monday through mid-August. Here are the dates to choose from:

  • July 14–17
  • July 21–24
  • July 28–31
  • August 4–7
  • August 11–14
  • August 18–21

Spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Given the free nature of the programme, early registration is recommended to avoid missing out.

Encouraging Active Lifestyles from a Young Age

The UAE Wrestling Federation’s new initiative fits seamlessly into the broader vision for youth development in the country. Encouraging children to take part in structured physical activity not only supports their overall health but also fosters character and confidence, important traits in and out of the arena.

The camp offers a much-needed alternative to passive indoor time during the summer. It’s a smart choice for families looking to add value to their child’s routine while nurturing lifelong habits.

Limited Seats, Big Opportunities

With structured activities, qualified trainers, and a strong emphasis on values, this camp is more than just an introduction to wrestling. It’s a well-rounded programme that supports both physical and personal growth. And with no fees involved, it’s one of the most accessible youth sports offerings in Abu Dhabi this summer.
