The UAE’s weather department is cautioning residents about a potential dust storm hitting certain western areas on Wednesday. From 9 am to 6 pm, strong winds (up to 40 km/h) carrying sand and dust may reduce visibility to less than 2000 meters.
Potential Dust Storm:
Expect a mix of clouds throughout the day, with a chance of light to moderate rainfall over islands and parts of the east and west. If you’re planning maritime activities, be aware of rough seas in the Arabian Gulf, where wave heights could reach up to 7 feet.
Inland areas might see highs of 42ºC, while mountainous regions could dip to a minimum of 17ºC. The weather pattern is expected to start from the west Wednesday night, spreading across the country by Thursday, particularly affecting western, coastal, and some eastern areas. Temperatures are forecasted to drop significantly.
