UAE Weather Today: Rain, Winds and Cloudy Skies Expected Across the Country

NCM forecasts scattered rainfall, strong winds, and rising humidity levels across the UAE on April 10.

Residents across the UAE can expect a mix of rain, cloud cover, and breezy conditions today. According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), Friday, April 10, will bring partly cloudy skies with intermittent rainfall across several areas. The UAE weather today is influenced by a surface low-pressure system, which is expected to drive changing conditions throughout the day.

Scattered Rain and Cloud Build-Up Across the UAE

The day begins with partly cloudy skies, but conditions are expected to shift as convective clouds develop at intervals. These cloud formations increase the chances of rainfall in scattered parts of the country.

Rainfall won’t be consistent across all emirates, but residents in certain areas may experience light to moderate showers, especially later in the day. The NCM has highlighted that these conditions are typical during transitional weather phases in the region.

This kind of weather can bring sudden changes — clear skies may quickly turn grey, followed by brief rain spells. Motorists are advised to stay cautious, especially during reduced visibility.

Wind Speeds Pick Up, Bringing Dust and Reduced Visibility

Alongside the rain, winds are expected to play a noticeable role in today’s weather. Light to moderate breezes will move across the UAE, with speeds reaching up to 35 km/h at times.

These winds may cause blowing dust and sand in open areas, particularly inland. This could lead to reduced visibility on highways and exposed roads, especially during peak afternoon hours.

For residents planning outdoor activities, it’s a good idea to stay updated on real-time weather alerts. Beachgoers should also take note, as sea conditions are expected to be slight to moderate in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Temperature Range Across Coastal, Inland and Mountain Areas

Temperatures across the UAE will vary depending on location, but overall, conditions remain relatively warm despite cloud cover.

  • Coastal and island areas: Highs between 29°C and 32°C, with lows ranging from 18°C to 22°C
  • Inland areas: Warmer conditions with highs between 31°C and 37°C, and lows from 13°C to 20°C
  • Mountain regions: Cooler temperatures, with highs ranging from 17°C to 27°C and lows between 13°C and 18°C

While temperatures are slightly higher in some areas, the cloud cover and wind may offer brief relief from direct heat.

Humidity Levels Rise, Especially Along Coastal Areas

Humidity is expected to increase significantly, particularly during the evening and early morning hours.

  • Coastal and island areas may see humidity levels between 65% and 85%
  • Inland regions are expected to record humidity between 60% and 80%

This rise in moisture levels could make conditions feel warmer than the actual temperature, especially in coastal cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Residents may notice a slight discomfort during late evenings, as humidity peaks and reduces air freshness.

for Residents in Dubai and Across the UAE

For daily routines, the weather may not cause major disruptions, but a few precautions can help:

  • Carry an umbrella or light jacket for unexpected rain
  • Drive carefully during windy or dusty conditions
  • Avoid outdoor plans during peak wind hours if possible
  • Stay updated with official weather alerts

For those heading out this weekend, it’s worth planning around the changing weather. Indoor activities or flexible plans may be a safer option.

The UAE weather today brings a mix of rain, wind, and humidity, shaped by a low-pressure system affecting the region. While conditions remain manageable, residents should stay prepared for sudden changes throughout the day.
