UAE Weather This Week: Clouds, Warmer Days and Possible Rain Ahead

Forecasters say parts of the UAE may see scattered showers, rising temperatures, and foggy mornings over the next few days.

Residents across the UAE could experience a slightly changeable week when it comes to the weather. From cloudy skies and rising temperatures to the possibility of scattered rainfall, the coming days may bring a little bit of everything.

According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), atmospheric conditions developing over the region are expected to influence the UAE weather forecast over the next several days. While most parts of the country will continue to see fair weather, some coastal and inland areas may experience brief showers.

At the same time, humidity levels are expected to climb during the night, which may lead to misty or foggy mornings in certain parts of the country.

UAE Weather This Week

Clouds Increase Across Coastal and Inland Areas

Residents waking up on Friday may notice more clouds than usual, particularly along the coastline and in inland regions.

Meteorologists say a surface low-pressure system interacting with an upper-air weather system is behind the increase in cloud activity across the UAE. These types of weather patterns can sometimes trigger light rainfall, especially when cloud density builds during the day.

While heavy rain is not expected, forecasters say there is still a chance of scattered showers in certain areas. Coastal communities and islands are more likely to see short spells of rain if the clouds thicken.

For residents living in cities like Dubai or Abu Dhabi, the change may simply feel like slightly cooler, cloudier skies compared to the usual bright sunshine.

Temperatures Expected to Climb Gradually

Despite the increase in cloud cover, temperatures across the UAE are forecast to rise slightly through the weekend and early next week.

Daytime highs are expected to vary depending on the region:

  • Internal areas: around 30°C to 35°C
  • Coastal areas and islands: between 28°C and 33°C
  • Mountain regions: cooler compared to the rest of the country

In many parts of the UAE, this means afternoons may feel warmer, especially in inland desert areas where heat tends to build quickly during the day.

By Monday, temperatures could climb a little further under mostly fair skies, although cloud patches may still appear from time to time.

Humid Nights Could Bring Fog or Mist

While daytime conditions remain mostly stable, the bigger shift may happen overnight.

Humidity levels are forecast to rise during late evening hours and continue into the early morning. When that moisture combines with cooler temperatures before sunrise, it can create mist or fog across certain parts of the UAE.

These conditions are more likely to occur in:

  • Coastal areas
  • Western parts of the UAE
  • Inland roads and open desert highways

Drivers heading out early in the morning — especially those travelling between emirates — may encounter patches of reduced visibility.

During winter and early spring months, fog formation is a familiar sight for many residents, particularly on highways leading out of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Wind Conditions and Sea Activity

Wind speeds across the country are expected to remain fairly moderate throughout the week.

Forecasters say winds will generally stay light to moderate, with speeds ranging from 10 km/h to 25 km/h. However, occasional gusts could push speeds up to around 35 km/h at times.

By Tuesday, winds may become slightly stronger, especially if cloud systems intensify over coastal regions.

Sea conditions will also reflect these changes.

  • The Arabian Gulf may experience slight to moderate waves at times
  • The Oman Sea is expected to remain relatively calm

However, if winds strengthen early next week, some northern parts of the Arabian Gulf could briefly see rougher conditions before the change spreads toward the Oman Sea.

Weekend Weather Outlook Across the UAE

Looking ahead, the weather will remain fairly consistent through the weekend.

Saturday:
Conditions are expected to stay fair to partly cloudy, with humidity increasing late at night. Early Sunday morning could bring mist or fog in some areas.

Sunday:
Another day of mostly stable weather is expected. Skies will remain partly cloudy, and winds will stay light to moderate.

Monday:
Temperatures may increase slightly under fair conditions, with cloud patches appearing at times.

Tuesday:
Forecasters expect skies to turn partly cloudy to cloudy, with a chance of light rainfall in some coastal areas and islands. Winds may freshen, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h in certain locations.

These changes may also cause rougher sea conditions, particularly in northern waters of the Arabian Gulf.

What Residents Should Expect This Week?

For most people across the UAE, the week ahead will feel relatively comfortable. The slight increase in cloud cover may even make outdoor afternoons more pleasant in some areas.

However, early morning commuters should remain cautious if fog develops, especially on highways where visibility can drop suddenly.

Those planning outdoor plans, beach visits, or road trips over the weekend may also want to keep an eye on daily weather updates, particularly if rainfall chances increase early next week.

Weather alerts often include fog warnings for drivers travelling between emirates during early morning hours.

The UAE weather forecast for the coming days suggests a mix of clouds, slightly warmer temperatures, humid nights, and the possibility of light rainfall in some areas.

While no major weather disruptions are expected, conditions may shift from time to time as atmospheric systems move across the region.

Staying updated with daily forecasts will help residents plan their travel, outdoor activities, and morning commutes more comfortably.
