UAE Petrol Prices Could Finally Drop in November

Here’s what UAE motorists can expect when new petrol prices are announced next week.

After three months of paying roughly the same at the pump, UAE drivers may finally catch a break. With global oil prices cooling slightly through October, all signs point to a potential drop in UAE petrol prices when the new rates are announced at the end of this month.

The UAE’s Fuel Price Committee is set to reveal the updated November prices on October 31, with the changes coming into effect on November 1. That means what motorists pay for Super 98, Super 95, and E-Plus 91 could shift — hopefully, downward, just in time for the start of a new month.

Current petrol prices in the UAE

For now, drivers are still filling up at October’s rates:

  • Super 98 petrol: AED 2.77 per litre
  • Super 95 petrol: AED 2.68 per litre
  • E-Plus 91 petrol: AED 2.58 per litre
  • Diesel: AED 2.71 per litre

These prices have held since a noticeable increase in July, keeping fuel costs fairly stable through August, September, and October. For regular commuters and weekend road-trippers alike, it’s been a predictable few months — but not exactly cheap.

Possibility: fuel prices might drop in November

There’s cautious optimism about what happens next. Several key factors indicate a small but significant decline in petrol prices for November 2025.

1. Global oil prices have eased slightly.
Over the past month, international crude oil prices have softened due to a slowdown in global demand and a modest increase in production by major suppliers. With Brent crude hovering lower than in early Q3, the UAE’s price adjustment could reflect that dip.

2. The UAE’s monthly pricing model responds quickly.
Since fuel price deregulation in 2015, the UAE has adjusted retail fuel prices monthly based on global trends. The system aligns with international benchmarks, adding transport and distribution costs to set fair rates across all emirates.

3. Seasonal demand shifts.
Autumn often sees a decline in travel demand, especially after the summer surge and the pre-winter holiday rush. That reduced demand can further stabilise or even lower pump prices.

Expected UAE petrol prices for November 2025

While the official numbers are yet to be released, industry analysts predict a modest decrease of around 5–10 fils per litre across all fuel types if current crude price trends hold.

That means motorists could expect the following estimated range for November:

  • Super 98 petrol: Around AED 2.72–2.75 per litre
  • Super 95 petrol: Around AED 2.62–2.65 per litre
  • E-Plus 91 petrol: Around AED 2.53–2.55 per litre
  • Diesel: Around AED 2.66–2.69 per litre

These figures are only projections based on recent global oil averages. The official announcement on October 31 will confirm the exact rates. But if this forecast holds, November could bring the first meaningful drop in months — a welcome shift for commuters and road-trippers alike.

But the change might be smaller than expected

Even if global crude prices drop, the decrease at UAE fuel stations may not be dramatic. Several factors could keep prices from falling sharply:

  • Geopolitical volatility: Oil markets are famously unpredictable — a sudden supply disruption or global event could push rates back up.
  • Average monthly calculation: The committee bases its decisions on average global prices across the previous month. A short-term dip might not heavily influence the monthly average.
  • Operational costs: Refining, transport, and distribution fees remain constant, which can limit how much consumers feel the impact of lower crude costs.

In short, a drop seems likely, but don’t expect it to be a huge one.

It means a lot for everyday drivers

A five- or ten-fils drop per litre might not sound like much, but it adds up over time. For example, filling a 60-litre tank of Super 98 currently costs about AED 166. If prices fall by just five fils, that same tank would cost around AED 163 – a modest saving per trip, but potentially hundreds of dirhams over the year for regular commuters.

With traffic slowly returning to peak levels across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, any easing of petrol costs offers a welcome break for motorists managing rising living expenses.

The official November 2025 UAE petrol prices will be announced on Thursday, October 31, and come into effect on Friday, November 1. Whether the reduction is mild or more noticeable, the adjustment will set the tone for the rest of the year.

For now, motorists can look forward to the possibility of smoother commutes – and maybe, just maybe, slightly cheaper ones.

With international crude costs easing and the UAE’s fuel pricing committee preparing its next update, November could bring a small but welcome drop in petrol prices. While the change may not be massive, it’s a positive sign for drivers who’ve been feeling the pinch.
