Sheikh Mohammed Chairs Cabinet Meeting, Launches Pre-Marital Screening Project

Abu Dhabi: In a move to modernize the UAE’s road systems, the Cabinet has approved a new federal traffic law. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, chaired the meeting at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, where the focus was on integrating cutting-edge technologies into the country’s transportation network.

The newly approved traffic law includes extensive updates to vehicle classifications, addressing the rise of self-driving cars, electric vehicles, and other personal transportation modes. Over 1,000 medical professionals have been trained to support this vital programme, underscoring the UAE’s commitment to fostering a healthier society.
