Abu Dhabi Police have recently launched a comprehensive campaign, ‘Traffic Highlights,’ to tackle the prevalent issue of lane violations on the city’s roads. Motorists failing to adhere to lane regulations now face a fine of Dh400, emphasizing the significance of lane discipline in ensuring overall road safety.

Mansour Rashid Al Saidi of Abu Dhabi Police stressed the importance of following mandatory lanes, clearly marked with traffic signs and road markings. These include crucial areas such as no-overtaking zones and road entrances/exits. The campaign aims to curb the rising incidents of severe accidents attributed to a lack of lane discipline in Abu Dhabi.

Colonel Musallam Mohammed Al Junaibi, Director of the Traffic Violations Collection and Follow-up Department, highlighted the campaign’s primary objectives. Risks Posed by Negligent Driving
