When Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri decides to speak, the nation listens. When he decides to film, the truth hits the screen harder than any plot twist in a soap opera. After stirring waves with The Kashmir Files and The Tashkent Files, the truth-teller of tinsel town is back with the final and fieriest piece of his trilogy puzzle.
The Delhi Files gets renamed as The Bengal Files
Say goodbye to The Delhi Files and roll out the red carpet for The Bengal Files: Right To Life. By popular demand (and we mean a lot of it), the team decided to rename the third chapter of the ‘Files’ franchise to better reflect the brutal reality it unearths. The big date to bookmark? September 5, 2025, when history gets the spotlight it deserves.
This one’s not your run-of-the-mill historical drama. Agnihotri’s latest offering takes us back to the 1940s, straight into the dark heart of pre-Partition Bengal. Think Direct Action Day & Noakhali riots. Think bloodshed, betrayal, and silence that lasted decades. Vivek’s mission? To make sure that silence breaks loud and clear.
The star cast is no less than a cinematic force. Mithun Chakraborty is all set to shake your soul with a haunting transformation, Anupam Kher returns with gravitas, and Pallavi Joshi brings her signature fire to the screen. Plus, Darshan Kumaar joins in to complete this heavy-hitting lineup.
Teaser That Gave Us Goosebumps
If you caught the teaser, you already know Mithun Da walking through an eerie corridor, silver-bearded and intense, mouthing the Preamble with a burnt tongue, is pure cinematic poetry. It’s raw, riveting, and undeniably powerful, the kind of scene that stays with you long after the credits roll.
Safety first, cinema later! Due to security concerns, the production had to shift base from Kolkata to Mumbai. But don’t worry, the vibe, the intensity, the essence, it’s all packed in. Location change or not, the message remains unfiltered.
One Trilogy. Three Truth Bombs.
From the unsaid story of Lal Bahadur Shastri (The Tashkent Files), to the chilling echoes of Kashmir’s past (The Kashmir Files), and now the burning pages of Bengal’s hidden history – Vivek’s trilogy doesn’t just narrate stories, it punches you with facts.
