While Bollywood stars like Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have unfortunately had their share of chilling death threats over the years, the spotlight now shines on Tiger Shroff – and not because of a high-flying stunt or six-pack reveal. This time, it’s a fake ‘supari’ (contract killing) call that’s made headlines.
Death Threat for Tiger Shroff Found to Be a Hoax
A man casually picked up his phone and claimed he was hired to kill Tiger Shroff. He said someone paid him ?2 lakh and gave him a weapon for the job. The caller, 35-year-old Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh, works as a security guard in Punjab. He allegedly watched too many crime thrillers during his time off. Manish told Mumbai Police a firm named Trig hired him to kill the Heropanti star. His story lacked facts but had enough drama to alarm the police. The police immediately jumped into action after receiving the call.
As soon as the call hit the control room, Mumbai Police didn’t blink twice. Security around Tiger was beefed up, investigations were rolled out, and chaos was halfway to kicking in. But a little digging revealed this wasn’t a professional hit, it was petty revenge. The so-called assassin was just frustated over some work drama with his employers.
Apparently, Manish had issues with his salary and his unceremonious exit from a job at a Khar-based restaurant. Instead of filing a formal complaint like the rest of us mere mortals, he decided to cook up a wild murder-for-hire story to frame his superior.
A case was filed, an arrest was made, and Singh now finds himself booked under some serious sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Charges include giving false information, trying to misuse police power, and spreading public mischief.
Thankfully, Tiger Shroff is safe, sound, and probably kicking air in a gym somewhere. But this whole incident is a wild reminder that some people will go to filmy extremes just to settle personal scores.
What’s next for tiger?
On the work front, Tiger will next be seen in Baaghi 4 alongside Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu. The film stars Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist. The film is all set to release in theatres on 5th September 2025.
