Tanushree Dutta, once the pageant queen-turned-actress, turned the entire industry upside down in 2018 when she called out harassment on a film set, leading the charge for India’s #MeToo movement. It was her bold voice that opened the floodgates for countless others to speak up. But now, years later, that same voice is trembling, not on a red carpet, but from her own home, where she claims the nightmare hasn’t stopped.
Tanushree Dutta Cries for Help and Justice
In a gut-wrenching Instagram video that left social media stunned, Tanushree was seen breaking down, pleading for help and sharing the mental and emotional toll this unending torment has taken on her. The former beauty queen didn’t mince her words: “I’m sick and tired of this harassment!! It’s been going on since 2018. Today, out of frustration, I called the police. Please help me before it’s too late.”
Tanushree revealed she’s being harassed inside her own home. Yes, the place that’s supposed to be your safe space is now the battleground of her trauma. The police did show up, but only to advise her to lodge a formal complaint at the station. She shared, “I’ll probably go tomorrow or the day after. I’m not well.”
The actress openly admitted that years of constant fear, emotional abuse, and helplessness have taken a massive toll. “I have been harassed so much in the last four to five years that I’ve fallen sick. I can’t work, and my house is a mess,” she confessed with tears streaming down her face.
As if things couldn’t get more bizarre, Tanushree made some serious claims that even her domestic help had allegedly been “planted” to steal from her. “I can’t even hire maids because they were planted. They stole things. Now I have to do everything myself,” she added, stating that she’s now doing everything on her own, with zero support.
A Chilling Reminder That #MeToo Isn’t Just a Hashtag
Tanushree’s story isn’t just a flashback from 2018 — it’s still unfolding. Her latest revelation once again throws the spotlight on how speaking up can often leave women more vulnerable than ever. The question now is: will anyone finally listen?
