Kajol’s sister Tanishaa Mukerji has always had the spotlight chasing her, whether it was her Bollywood innings, her reality TV stint on Bigg Boss, or her love life that tabloids couldn’t stop buzzing about. From being linked with Uday Chopra to her fiery Bigg Boss romance with Armaan Kohli, Tanishaa has lived through it all – the gossip, the controversies, the questions, and of course, the heartbreaks. Now, years later, she finally spills it all on which breakup truly broke her the most.
Uday Chopra > Armaan Kohli? Tanishaa Mukerji Gets Real
Everyone assumed her stormy breakup with Armaan Kohli (yes, the one we watched unfold in Bigg Boss 7) was the ultimate heartbreak. But Tanishaa shocks us all by saying nope — it was actually her split with Uday Chopra that left her shattered.
In her own words she told Pinkvilla: “Woh itna heartbreak nahi tha (It wasn’t that big a heartbreak). I was more heartbroken when my relationship with Uday ended. We were friends, we were very close, and we had known each other for a long time.”
Oof. That’s the kind of heartbreak you don’t just bounce back from with ice cream and rom-coms.
Bigg Boss Love Saga That Was All Drama
Let’s rewind to Bigg Boss 7. Remember when Tanishaa and Armaan became the season’s most talked-about couple? Their closeness was the TRP masala audiences couldn’t get enough of. They even made joint public appearances after the show and went on a spiritual trip to Vaishno Devi together. But just like most BB romances, it fizzled out faster than you could say “Weekend Ka Vaar.”
Despite the heartbreaks and headlines, Tanishaa isn’t bitter. She’s a believer in love – every messy, magical, and maddening part of it. She admits she doesn’t dwell on regrets, saying: “I’m the kind of person who always looks at the bright side of things. Whatever happens, happens for the good. I enjoy the feeling of falling in love and I cherish the experiences it brings,”
While her personal life grabbed eyeballs, Tanishaa also made her mark professionally. She debuted with Sssshhh… in 2003, sizzled in Neal ’n’ Nikki, and impressed with her role in Sarkar. Down South, she scored a hit with Unnale Unnale, even nabbing a Vijay Award nomination. Of course, reality TV made her a household name when she finished as runner-up in Bigg Boss 7. Later, she switched gears and judged Gangs of Haseepur.
Tanishaa Mukerji’s story proves one thing: she’s not just Kajol’s sister or someone’s ex. She’s a woman who has faced love, loss, fame, and trolling, yet still walks out with her head high and herheart open.
