Qatar Airways has just announced the introduction of the world’s fastest on-board Wifi, powered by SpaceX’s Starlink. This new service will be free for all passengers, enhancing the in-flight experience. Important step This move positions Qatar Airways as the first airline in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to offer such high-speed, low-latency internet on its flights. Passengers can now stream, work, play online games, or video call, all from 35,000 feet. Expanding the Fleet The first Starlink-equipped Boeing 777 aircraft has already taken flight from Doha to London. Qatar Airways plans to upgrade 12 Boeing 777-300s by the end of 2024, with the entire Boeing 777 fleet equipped by 2025. The Airbus A350 fleet will follow in the summer of 2025.
