The stunning Sonakshi Sinha and her long-time beau Zaheer Iqbal have finally tied the knot in a ceremony that’s sure to be the talk of the town for years to come. After much speculation and endless rumors, the lovebirds exchanged vows in an intimate yet lavish celebration at Sonakshi’s Bandra residence. With only close friends and family in attendance, this was a wedding to remember!
Sonakshi Sinha Shares a Glimpse of Her Fairytale Wedding
Sonakshi took to Instagram to bless our feeds with a few swoon-worthy pictures from their civil wedding ceremony. She penned a heartfelt caption, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today, that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where, with the blessings of both our families and both our gods, we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope, and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever.”
A Picture-Perfect Couple
In the breathtaking snaps, Sonakshi dazzles in a white saree adorned with intricate gold and beige embroidery, while Zaheer looks dapper in a floral white kurta-pyjama set, complete with a gold watch. The ‘Heeramandi’ beauty accessorized with a gold and gemstone choker, matching earrings, a delicate white flower gajra, and traditional alta.
The first picture captures a tender moment as Zaheer kisses Sonakshi’s hand while she gazes at him lovingly. Another photo, a collage, shows Sonakshi holding her dad Shatrughan Sinha’s arm as Zaheer signs the wedding documents, with everyone beaming from ear to ear. The final snap in the series has the newlyweds posing affectionately for the cameras, looking every bit the perfect couple.
The wedding was conducted under the Special Marriage Act at Sonakshi’s Bandra home, with the newlyweds planning a reception for their nearest and dearest at Bastian – At the Top in Lower Parel.
For those out of the loop, Sonakshi and Zaheer have been an item for seven years. They first shared the screen in Double XL, and while they kept their romance on the down-low, their adorable social media posts told a different story.
