Now that the trailer for Param Sundari is finally here, it’s a whole buffet of love, drama, and culture-clash madness.
Param Sundari Trailer: A north meets South Love Story
Dropping in cinemas on August 29, this Maddock Films romance is a dreamy postcard from Kerala, sprinkled with Delhi-boy swagger. It’s all about backwater boat rides, bike trips in the rain, century-old churches, and a love story that feels like SRK-Kajol just got a Gen-Z reboot.
Sidharth as Param is pure “aww” meets “oof.” He’s got that easy Delhi charm, Punjabi warmth, and somehow pulls off a mundu like he was born for it. One scene he’s making you blush, the next he’s melting your heart, this is the rom-com glow-up fans have been begging him for.
As Sundari, Janhvi is elegance, innocence, and a little bit of mischief rolled into one. The Kerala backdrop wraps around her like it’s in love with her, too. Her chiffon sarees? Instant Pinterest mood board material. She brings her South Indian roots into the role, which just makes Sundari’s charm even more real.
Speaking of songs, Pardesiya is already everywhere on reels, and Bheegi Saree is about to take over your monsoon playlist. Sachin–Jigar’s tunes + Amitabh Bhattacharya’s lyrics, the combo is a soundtrack that’s another character in the film.
Director’s Cut And Why This Story Hits Different
Tushar Jalota calls it a “celebration of differences,” but honestly, it’s more like two worlds colliding in the most aesthetic way possible. He shared, “Param Sundari is a celebration of differences – the way two distinct worlds can collide and yet create something beautiful together. Kerala gave us a visual palette that feels timeless, and the story gave us the emotional depth to match it. The trailer is just a glimpse of the journey.”
Janhvi Kapoor, who is the Sundari in real life, says, “Sundari is deeply personal to me. Her grace, quiet strength, and love for her roots resonate with my own South Indian heritage. Shooting in Kerala, surrounded by such beauty, I felt an emotional connection to her world that I hope the audience will feel too.”
Sidharth Malhotra says, “With Param Sundari, I feel like I’m revisiting the kind of romance I grew up loving, but telling it in a way that feels fresh and relatable. Param has that Delhi boy charm, with a love story that makes you cross worlds. We wanted it to look as beautiful as it feels, and Kerala’s magic really made that happen. I hope the audience feels the same warmth and joy we felt while making it.”

Param Sundari is directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Maddock Films. The film is all set to release in theatres on August 29, 2025.
