Shilpa Shetty Kundra has made a smashing comeback to Kannada cinema after almost two decades with the much-awaited movie ‘KD – The Devil.’ And, with her new look as Satyavati, she has set the retro mood on social media. The actress announced her latest project on Gudi Padwa, and her fans couldn’t be more thrilled about her role in the film.
Directed by Prem, ‘KD – The Devil’ is a period film set in the late Sixties and Seventies. The film stars Dhruva Sarja, V Ravichandran, and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles, and Shilpa Shetty Kundra joins the cast as Satyavati. Shilpa’s first-look poster dressed in a white saree with red polka dots with big shades, a bindi, a choker, a long necklace, and a handbag sets the tone for her character’s retro vibe.

The film is said to be based on actual events that took place in Bangalore in the 1970s. As per reports, Dhruva Sarja plays the role of a gangster, and the film revolves around a kingdom that is at war. The makers have kept the story under wraps, but with such an impressive star cast and intriguing plot, expectations are running high.
Shilpa Shetty Kundra is no stranger to the Kannada film industry, having previously worked in Preethsod Thappa, Ondagona Baa, and Auto Shankar. However, after an 18-year hiatus, her return to the industry has created a buzz among her fans, who are eagerly waiting to see her back on the silver screen.
Talking about her role, Shilpa Shetty Kundra said, “A war is fought between kingdoms, and every kingdom needs a ‘Satyavati.’ I’m so excited and pumped to join the ‘KD’ battlefield and step into this powerful role.” Director Prem also welcomed Shilpa Shetty Kundra onboard, calling her a “powerhouse.”
‘KD – The Devil’ is set to release in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi, making it a pan-India film. The makers have not announced the release date yet, but fans can’t wait to see Shilpa Shetty Kundra back in action in her new avatar as Satyavati.
