Bollywood’s newest “IT” couple, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, tied the knot on June 23, 2024, in what many are calling the cutest wedding of the year. Despite all the buzz about their inter-faith marriage and rumors of daddy Shatrughan Sinha being less than thrilled, the couple proved everyone wrong with a joyous celebration that had even Shotgun himself showering blessings.

Daddy’s Proud Moments: Shatrughan Sinha Over the Moon

Shatrughan Sinha, bursting with pride, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent their love and congrats, dubbing it the “wedding of the century.” Aww!

One video he shared shows the lovebirds, Sonakshi and Zaheer, with folded hands as a priest performs the rituals at their home. Another clip shows our stunning bride being brought in with traditional flair, despite the civil nature of the ceremony. Later, the celebrations moved to Bastian, a swanky Mumbai hotspot, for a bash to remember.

In his heartfelt post on X, Shatrughan wrote, “With an attitude of gratitude, we would like to thank everyone for celebrating with us on our special day. It seems to be the ‘wedding of the century’ with your warmth, love, and congratulatory messages for our darling daughter #SonakshiSinha with #ZaheerIqbal as they start a new chapter in their beautiful journey of their lives.”

The happy couple exchanged vows in a chic civil ceremony, dressed in elegant ivory outfits. Sonakshi later wowed everyone in a gold and red saree, while Zaheer looked dapper in a white kurta with a red underlay.

What’s Next for Sonakshi?

On the work front, Sonakshi is all set to dazzle us in “Nikita Roy and The Book of Darkness” and “Kakunda.” With love and career both shining bright, looks like 2024 is totally Sonakshi’s year!
