Shah Rukh Khan, the man who’s been ruling our hearts from DDLJ to Dunki, is gearing up for a blockbuster hattrick with his upcoming movie. Dunki, the third in line after the action-packed Jawan and Pathaan, is set to hit the screens soon, and the trailer drop has already set the town on fire. And, of course, when King Khan decided to spill some Dunki beans during an “Ask SRK” session, the sass level was off the charts.

In the midst of all the hype, a fan couldn’t help but notice the uncanny resemblance between Shah Rukh’s Dunki trailer attire and his iconic DDLJ entry scene. So, they threw the question out there, “@iamsrk somewhere in between we all grew up… ??? How does it feel when you see edits like this one? #AskSRK see you on the 21st! #Dunki.” Now, brace yourself for the King’s response. With a dash of humor, he replied, “Life is a run. I am so glad that even after 11 surgeries, I can still run the same, and my same t-shirt fits me just fine!!”

But wait, there’s more to Dunki than just wardrobe throwbacks. Shah Rukh, in his quintessential cool style, spilled the Dunki tea on the title’s meaning. According to him, “Dunki is actually the donkey journey across borders without permits. In the Punjabi dialect, they pronounce it Dunki.” Now, that’s some linguistic coolness from the Badshah himself.

As for the Dunki cast, it’s not just Shah Rukh Khan stealing the show. This cinematic extravaganza boasts an ensemble featuring the stellar talents of Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover. A collaborative venture by JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films, Dunki is all set to hit the screens in December 2023.
