Shah Rukh Khan Roars Back as Mufasa, This Time with sons Aryan and AbRam in The Lion King Franchise

The King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, is back, and this time he’s bringing the whole Khan-daan with him! Yes, you heard that right – SRK is returning to the jungle as the iconic Mufasa in the latest installment of The Lion King franchise, but that’s not all. Joining him on this wild ride are his two sons, Aryan Khan and little AbRam, making this a royal family affair we’re absolutely here for.

Following the massive success of the 2019 live-action The Lion King, Shah Rukh Khan is once again lending his legendary voice to Mufasa, the ultimate king of the savannah. But hold onto your hats because Aryan is stepping into the paws of Simba, and AbRam is taking on the role of Young Mufasa. This is not just another movie – it’s a family legacy playing out on the big screen, and we’re all invited to witness the magic.

The Hindi trailer for Mufasa: The Lion King has just dropped, and let’s just say, it’s nothing short of breathtaking. With SRK’s powerful baritone setting the stage, and his sons following in his mighty footsteps, this visually stunning journey through the heart of the savannah is shaping up to be the must-see event of the year. The king and his cubs are about to take us on an adventure like no other, and we’re all here for every iconic moment.

In true SRK fashion, he shared his thoughts on returning as Mufasa, and it’s clear this role holds a special place in his heart. “Mufasa has an incredible legacy and stands as the ultimate king of the jungle, imparting his wisdom to his son, Simba. I deeply relate to him as a father and also resonate with Mufasa’s journey in the film. ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’, depicts Mufasa’s life from childhood to his rise as an incredible king, and revisiting this character has been exceptional. It’s a special collaboration for me with Disney, particularly because my sons, Aryan and AbRam, are part of this journey and sharing this experience with them is truly meaningful,” he said. Honestly, could this be any more heartwarming?

Directed by the brilliant Barry Jenkins, Mufasa: The Lion King isn’t just a movie – it’s an epic tale of legacy, family, and the unlikely rise of a beloved king. With photorealistic CGI that brings every blade of grass and every whisker to life, this film is going to be a visual masterpiece. Set to hit Indian theaters on December 20, 2024, in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, Mufasa: The Lion King is gearing up to be a cinematic event you won’t want to miss.
