Preparations for Hajj 2026 are now underway in Saudi Arabia, and the next phase of the pilgrimage process has officially begun. The Kingdom’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has opened Hajj package bookings for domestic pilgrims, allowing Saudi citizens and expatriates with valid residency permits to reserve their pilgrimage packages.
Applicants who completed the earlier registration step can now log in to the Nusuk digital platform—either through its website or mobile app—to review available packages and secure their bookings.
The move marks another step in Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation of the Hajj process, aiming to make the experience smoother and more organised for millions of pilgrims preparing for the annual pilgrimage.
Domestic Pilgrims Can Now Secure Their Hajj Packages
According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, only applicants who registered their information during the initial phase are currently eligible to proceed with the booking stage.
The first phase of registration opened on February 23, when prospective pilgrims submitted their personal details through the Nusuk platform. Now that the booking stage has begun, these applicants can explore the available pilgrimage packages and select the option that best fits their needs.
Once a package is selected, the system generates a booking invoice, which confirms the reservation process has begun. Pilgrims must then complete their payment through the SADAD electronic payment system, widely used across Saudi Arabia for government-related transactions.
The ministry says this digital-first approach helps streamline Hajj services while ensuring that the allocation of pilgrimage opportunities remains transparent and organised.

Pilgrims Can Choose Packages Based on Budget and Services
One of the key advantages of the Nusuk platform is that it allows pilgrims to compare multiple package options before making a final decision.
These packages typically vary depending on the level of services included, such as accommodation, transport arrangements between holy sites, and additional logistical support during the pilgrimage.
For many residents living in Saudi Arabia, the system removes much of the uncertainty that traditionally surrounded Hajj bookings. Instead of relying on travel agents or manual processes, pilgrims can now view and select packages directly through the digital platform.
Officials say this structure helps ensure fair access to pilgrimage services while also making it easier for authorities to manage the enormous number of participants who gather in Makkah every year.
Important Payment Deadlines Pilgrims Must Follow
While booking a package is straightforward, pilgrims must pay close attention to the payment deadlines to avoid losing their reservation.
Once a booking is confirmed, applicants must complete payment within 72 hours. If payment is not processed within this timeframe, the reservation will automatically be cancelled and released back into the system.
This 72-hour payment window will remain valid until Dhul Qada 27, which corresponds to May 14, 2026.
However, beginning May 15, the payment deadline will become significantly shorter. Pilgrims will then have only six hours to complete their payment after booking.
Authorities say this shorter window helps ensure that unused reservations quickly become available again, giving other applicants a chance to secure their pilgrimage spot.
Cancellation and Refund Policy Explained
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has also clarified the cancellation policy for confirmed Hajj packages.
Pilgrims who change their plans can cancel their reservation without any deductions before April 18, as long as the Hajj permit has not yet been issued.
Once permits are issued, the refund amount will depend on when the cancellation request is submitted. As the pilgrimage season approaches, the chances of receiving a full refund become lower.
Authorities have also stated that full refunds will not be guaranteed for cancellations made from May 18 until the booking platform closes.
This structured refund policy helps the ministry manage accommodation, transportation and logistics for the massive number of pilgrims expected to participate in Hajj each year.
A Major Pilgrimage Season Approaching
Hajj remains one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, bringing together millions of Muslims in Makkah every year. Saudi Arabia has spent the past few years modernising the entire pilgrimage process—from visa issuance to accommodation management—to make the experience more efficient.
The Nusuk platform has become a central hub for these services, allowing pilgrims to handle registration, bookings and payments through a single digital system.
As Hajj 2026 preparations continue, domestic pilgrims who completed their registration earlier will now need to move quickly to review packages and secure their booking before available slots fill up.
With Hajj 2026 package bookings now open, domestic pilgrims in Saudi Arabia can begin confirming their travel plans through the Nusuk platform. From selecting packages to completing payments digitally, the process is designed to be simpler and more organised than ever before.
For those planning the sacred journey this year, keeping track of the payment deadlines and cancellation policies will be essential to secure their spot.
