Bollywood’s Bhaijaan, Salman Khan, just lived through a real-life action sequence that left us all on the edge of our seats! On April 14, two men on bike shot on the walls of Salman’s Galaxy Apartments, turning a quiet morning into a nerve-wracking episode. Luckily, no one was hurt, but the shockwaves from this incident are still reverberating.
Salman Khan Testifies: Lawrence Bishnoi Gang in the Crosshairs
Salman Khan recently provided a statement in the chargesheet filed by Mumbai Police, pointing fingers at the Lawrence Bishnoi gang for the brazen attack. According to reports by PTI, Salman recounted the spine-chilling moment when he heard a sound resembling firecrackers while he was asleep. It was his bodyguard who informed him around 4:55 am that two motorbike-riding assailants had fired shots at his first-floor balcony.
The Bishnoi Gang Strikes Again
This wasn’t the first time Salman and his family found themselves in the crosshairs. Salman shared that he later discovered Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol had confessed to the attack in a Facebook post. The Bishnoi gang has a history of threatening the superstar and his kin. In his statement, Salman said, “I believe that Lawrence Bishnoi, with the help of his gang members, carried out the firing incident when my family members were sleeping, planning to kill me and my family members.” He revealed that his family has been receiving threats for years.
Previous Threats and Attempts
Back in 2022, a chilling threat letter was found on a bench opposite Salman’s building. Fast forward to March 2023, a threat email from the Bishnoi gang surfaced. And just when you think it couldn’t get more dramatic, in January 2024, two unidentified men tried to sneak into Salman’s Panvel farmhouse using fake identities.
The Legal Battle Unfolds
Earlier this month, the police filed a hefty 1,735-page chargesheet before the special court for Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) cases. The court acknowledged the chargesheet, stating there’s enough evidence to proceed against the six accused. The arrested individuals include Vickykumar Gupta, Sagarkumar Pal, Sonukumar Bishnoi, Mohd Rafiq Choudhary, Harpal Singh, and the now-deceased Anujkumar Thapan, who allegedly died by suicide in police custody. The remaining five are cooling their heels in judicial custody.
What’s Next for Bhaijaan?
While Salman Khan continues to grapple with these threats, his resolve remains unshaken. This real-life thriller might have rattled him and his family, but it’s clear that Salman is ready to face any challenges thrown his way, both on and off the screen.
On the work front, he will next star in the film ‘Sikander’ which will be releasing on Eid 2025. Reports have surfaced that Kick 2 is in works!
