Salman Khan has the alpha male personality in Bollywood, and while he wears his “man with a golden heart” badge proudly, many don’t shy away from calling him a “gunda.” He’s the guy who helps countless strugglers but also gets accused of destroying careers. On Bigg Boss 19’s latest Weekend Ka Vaar, the superstar finally broke his silence and gave a fiery reply that had the internet buzzing.
Salman Breaks Silence On Career-Sabotage
When Shehnaaz Gill came on stage this Weekend Ka Vaar on Bigg Boss 19, she thanked him for backing so many careers. Salman quickly brushed it off with trademark humility and wit: “When have I ever made someone’s career? The one who truly makes careers is God.” He didn’t stop there. Throwing shade at the rumours, he said, “People have even accused me of destroying others’ careers. But honestly, sinking someone’s career isn’t in my hands at all. These days, though, it’s common to hear things like, ‘He’ll eat up someone’s career.’ Tell me, which career have I eaten? And if I ever do eat one, it’ll only be my own career.” Classic Salman sass, equal parts sharp and hilarious.
Abhinav Kashyap Fires Back With Explosive Claims
But the drama didn’t end there. Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap reignited old wounds by calling Salman a “gunda” and “vindictive,” accusing him of being more obsessed with stardom than acting. He even claimed Salman “does a favour” by just showing up on sets.
Abhinav said, “Salman is never involved. He is not even interested in acting, and he hasn’t been since the last 25 years. He does a favour by turning up to work. Khan is more into the power of being a celebrity, but he is not interested in acting. He is a gunda (goon).”
He further added, “He (Salman Khan) is the father of the star system in Bollywood. Also He is from a film family which has been in the industry since 50 years. He continues the process. They are vindictive people. They control the whole process. If you don’t agree with them, they come after you.”
Abhinav also revealed that his brother, Anurag Kashyap, had warned him about working with Salman way before Dabangg. According to him, the Khan clan is all about power play, and if you don’t play by their rules, you’re on their hit list. Talk about Bollywood being less about scripts and more about survival of the fittest. Abhinav said, “He (Anurag) told me before Dabangg that you won’t be able to make a film with Salman. He just didn’t tell me in great detail why. He just thought I’ll get easily bullied, he knows these vultures.”
Love him or hate him, Salman Khan knows how to command attention. Whether he’s being hailed as Bollywood’s biggest benefactor or branded as its ultimate “gunda,” one thing’s for sure: Bhai never stays out of the headlines. Honestly? That’s why we keep watching.
What’s next for Salman?
Looking ahead, Salman’s next big venture is Battle of Galwan, a high-octane war drama directed by Apoorva Lakhia. Based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash, the film promises patriotism, courage, and, of course, Salman’s signature punch. Fans are buzzing, and expectations are sky-high, because when Bhaijaan is involved, ordinary is never on the table.
