Saif Ali Khan Opens Up About Adipurush’s Box Office failure

Bollywood’s very own Nawab, Saif Ali Khan, is spilling the tea on the box office rollercoaster ride of Adipurush! Directed by the visionary Om Raut and backed by a whopping budget of Rs 500 crores, this epic retelling of the Ramayana may not have set the cash registers ringing as expected, but Saif is taking it all in stride. The film was also a part of many controversies!

With a star-studded cast including the likes of Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, Devdatta Nage, and the man himself, Saif Ali Khan, Adipurush was poised to be a blockbuster bonanza. But alas, even with all the glitz and glamour, the movie fell short of box office glory, raking in only Rs 400 crores globally.

But fear not, for Saif isn’t letting a little setback dampen his spirits. In a candid chat with Film Companion, the suave actor brushed off the disappointment with his signature cool demeanor, quipping, “I’m not star enough to pull off anything (laughs).”

Keeping it real as always, Saif emphasized the importance of staying grounded in the face of failure, sharing insights straight from the heart. “My focus has always been on keeping it real… The idea is not to be scared of failing,” he remarked, proving once again that he’s more than just a pretty face in tinsel town.

Saif Ali Khan played the role of Raavana this adaption of Ramayana. But, it didn’t hit well with audience and he received major backlash for his appearances.

And while Adipurush may not have hit the jackpot, Saif remains undeterred, ready to bounce back stronger than ever. With his next venture, Devara, already generating buzz, co-starring the dynamic duo Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, it seems like the Nawab is all set to reclaim his spot in the limelight.
