It seems like the Pataudi family just can’t catch a break lately. First, we were all holding our breath after the shocking news about Saif Ali Khan’s brutal stabbing while trying to protect his kids during a home robbery. And now, just as Saif Ali Khan is recovering from that terrifying incident, the headlines are buzzing about another major blow to the Pataudi legacy, something that could see their massive Rs 15,000 crore property empire slipping through their fingers.
Saif Ali Khan in Trouble, Will lose his Rs 15,000 Crore Properties?
As if being stabbed wasn’t enough, Saif Ali Khan and his family are now dealing with a legal bombshell that threatens to take away their iconic properties. The Madhya Pradesh High Court has just lifted a stay on the Pataudi family’s historical assets, including the Flag Staff House (where Saif grew up), Noor-Us-Sabah Palace, and Dar-Us-Salam. But the twist is that the government is eyeing these multi-crore properties under the Enemy Property Act.
What’s the Enemy Property Act, you ask? Well, it’s a law that allows the government to seize property from people who migrated to Pakistan post-partition. The Pataudi family could lose these properties because Saif’s grandmother, Abida Sultan, moved to Pakistan in 1950, and the government is now using that to claim the properties as “enemy property.”
The Court Ruling That Reignited the Battle
While the court had previously ruled that Saif’s grandmother, Sajida Sultan, was the rightful heir, the recent ruling has shaken things up again. Now, the family has been given 30 days to present their case before an appellate authority. However, as of January 21, the details of their defense are still unclear. The drama around these properties is far from over, and it’s unclear whether this legal mess will change the future of the Pataudi family’s massive estate.
Saif’s Sister Saba Pataudi Praises Female Staff for Heroic Acts
Amidst the media circus surrounding the property crisis, Saif’s sister Saba Pataudi took a moment to salute the real heroes of the January 16 attack. She took to Instagram to honor the two female staff members who played a pivotal role in saving Saif’s life during the horrifying robbery attempt.
Saba shared heartfelt photos with Jeh’s nanny and another brave staff member who helped Saif during the attack. She captioned the post, “The unsung heroes…who literally pulled their weight when it mattered the most! Bless you both and all those who contributed in keeping my brother and his family safe! You are the BEST!”
Talk about showing love where it counts – Saba didn’t hold back, calling these women true heroes for their quick thinking in a crisis.
Saif Ali Khan’s Stabbing Incident: The Details
For those not yet in the loop, Saif Ali Khan’s attack happened during the early hours of January 16, when a burglar broke into his Bandra home. Jeh’s nanny, Eliyamma Philip, was the first to spot the intruder and try to raise the alarm. When she confronted the robber, he turned violent, attacking her before Saif stepped in. In the ensuing scuffle, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times. The actor was rushed to the hospital by his sons, and after undergoing two surgeries, including the removal of a 2.5-inch blade, he was discharged on January 21.
The police have arrested the attacker, Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, and he’s currently in custody.
What’s Next for Saif?
The actor has been in the middle of shooting Jewel Thief: The Red Sun Chapter currently. Reports also suggested that Saif Ali Khan will soon begin shoot for Race 4.
Here’s hoping Saif finds peace and strength to tackle both his personal and professional challenges in the coming months.
