RTA announces AED 20,000 cash prize under new initiative

What if we say you could win AED 1000 from the Dubai RTA? Can’t believe it? This is true because the RTA has launched a new reward programme as part of the ongoing Gulf Traffic Week. Cyclists and e-scooter riders in Dubai now stand a chance to bag big money, but- only if you strictly adhere to all the rules and regulations.

The RTA on Wednesday launched a two-day initiative to reward responsible riders on roads. Launching the initiative, the RTA share in a tweet, that it would be giving away a total of AED 20,000 cash prizes as part of the drive called ‘The Safe Rider’.

Wondering how the riders will be picked? Well, firstly you need to follow all the rules and secondly you just need to be lucky. Participants must adhere to all traffic rules, the RTA stressed. These regulations include wearing safety gear, sticking to speed limits, and using the right lanes. RTA will then randomly pick 20 riders to win AED 1000.

The initiative was launched as part of Gulf Traffic Week 2023 activities, which is running until March 12.

Well, we must admit that the Dubai RTA is doing every bit to ensure road safety of all residents. In addition, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is inviting tenders for constructing three integrated rest stops for delivery motorbike drivers. Isn’t this amazing?

Riders can take a break at three rest stations located in Sheikh Zayed Road near the Festival Plaza at Jebel Ali Village, Port Saeed next to Al Muraqabat Street 22, and Ras Al Khor Industrial Area 2 close to Al Manama Street.

The facilities will offer fundamental services like maintenance, refueling, rest areas, and restaurants. The RTA will also offer “educational material about public safety and quality regulation” at these facilities.
