While Bollywood keeps dishing out high-voltage action and laugh-worthy comedies, let’s be honest, we crave a soul-stirring love story now and then. Stepping in to soothe our hopeless romantic hearts is Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, starring the ever-versatile Vikrant Massey and debutante Shanaya Kapoor. The trailer just dropped, and trust us, it’s the monsoon romance we didn’t know we needed.
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan Trailer Talk: Love, Loss & Those Longing Eyes
The trailer for Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is finally out, and it’s already serving vintage romance with a modern-day twist. Vikrant Massey steps out of his comfort zone and straight into our hearts as Jahaan, while Shanaya Kapoor surprises in the best way as the soft-spoken, emotionally complex Saba Shergill. The chemistry? Quiet, poetic, and totally magnetic.
The vibe of the film is everything we miss from old-school Bollywood romance – rainy train stations, shy glances (maybe), and music that makes your heart ache. There’s pain, passion, and a whole lot of poetry, and the trailer wraps it up in a dreamy little bow. Vishal Mishra’s music? It hits the feels like a gentle thunderstorm on a Sunday afternoon.
Known for his intense and layered characters, Vikrant surprises us by dipping his toes into a full-blown romance and he owns it. In one of the most touching moments, his character blindfolds himself to understand what life feels like for Saba, who is visually impaired. If that doesn’t scream “man of the year,” we don’t know what does.
Shanaya Kapoor makes her acting debut, and the girl comes in strong. Poised, polished, and heartbreakingly vulnerable, she brings Saba to life with grace and confidence. With every shot, it’s clear she’s not just another pretty face – she’s bringing the feels, and she’s doing it with style.
The Music Is Basically Another Character
Let’s talk tunes. With Vishal Mishra handling the music, you know emotions are about to get real. The melodies feel like handwritten love letters, and every track in the trailer oozes that “eternal love story” energy. Expect to have them on loop long after the credits roll.
The trailer launch wasn’t just emotional – it was starry too. Shanaya’s proud parents, Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, turned up to support their little star. Also spotted was producer Mansi Bagla, whose story and vision bring this soulful script to life under Santosh Singh’s direction.
Presented by Zee Studios and Mini Films, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan drops in theatres on 11th July 2025.
