Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Get ready for the first-ever Riyadh International Jazz Festival, bringing a wave of musical excitement from February 7 to February 9 at the Mayadeen Theatre in Diriyah. This three-day event promises to be a unique blend of international jazz acts and emerging talents from the Arab music scene, adding a vibrant note to Riyadh’s cultural landscape.
Diverse Lineup to Wow Audiences
Curated by the Saudi Music Commission, the festival is set to showcase over ten performances across three evenings, providing a rich tapestry of jazz and world music. International headliners, who have pushed the boundaries of jazz, will take the main stage, while the Jazz Café, featuring clarinettist Peter Long and his orchestra, adds an extra layer of musical delight.
Tickets, available on the Ministry of Culture website, start at SAR120 for non-VIP and SAR350 for VIP. Although Box seats are sold out, there’s still a chance to grab VIP and non-VIP tickets for an unforgettable musical experience.

- Fulana: Jeddah-based synthpop artist with emotionally charged music.
Thursday, February 8:
- Chaka Khan: The “Queen of Funk” with ten Grammy Awards, showcasing versatility in pop, soul, jazz, gospel, classical, and funk.
- Kokoroko: British jazz ensemble led by trumpeter Sheila Maurice Grey, blending diverse influences.
- Majaz: Bahraini band celebrating the cultural connection between Africa and Arabia.
Friday, February 9:
- Masego: Self-proclaimed “TrapHouseJazz” pioneer, known for live beat-making and saxophone fusion.
- Hiatus Kaiyote: Australian band with three Grammy nominations, spanning jazz, funk, and neo-soul.
- Garwasha: Saudi jazz-fusion band merging Western and Eastern music, creating a unique blend.
