Ranbir Kapoor Set for Dual Roles in Ramayana, Amitabh Bachchan reunites after brahmastra

Bollywood’s ultimate hero, Ranbir Kapoor is not only stepping into the divine shoes of Lord Ram, but he’s taking things up a notch by playing dual roles in this Nitesh Tiwari-directed magnum opus. If you thought Animal was a wild ride, just wait until you see RK switch gears from intense action to divine glory. And wait, there’s more – Amitabh Bachchan is back with Ranbir after Brahmastra, but in a totally unexpected way. Curious yet? Let’s dive into the latest deets.

Ranbir Kapoor Taking on Dual Roles

As if playing Lord Ram wasn’t iconic enough, Ranbir Kapoor is all set to serve up two epic roles in this mythological drama. According to a source close to the production, RK will portray both Lord Ram and Parashuram! The source spilled, “In the Ramayana, Parashuram had a conflict with Ram after Shiva’s bow, Pinaka, was broken. He challenges Ram to bend Vishnu’s bow, and upon witnessing Ram succeed, he acknowledges Ram as an incarnation of Vishnu and retreats to his penance. Although Parashuram’s role in the epic is brief, it holds significant importance, and the filmmakers have ensured it reflects that. Ranbir will have a completely distinct and unrecognizable look as Parashuram.”

So, expect to see Ranbir in a completely unrecognizable avatar as Parashuram. We’re already swooning at the thought of him pulling off both avatars with perfection.

Amitabh Bachchan’s Legendary Voice as Jatayu!

Now, let’s talk about the one and only Amitabh Bachchan, who’s lending his iconic voice to Ramayana as the divine bird Jatayu! While Big B won’t be seen on screen, his voice is set to bring Jatayu to life. And in true cinematic magic style, the filmmakers are using VFX scans of Bachchan’s eyes to give Jatayu an extra dose of gravitas. Picture it: Big B’s booming voice soaring as Jatayu tries to rescue Sita from Ravana – epic is an understatement!

What’s Next for Ramayana?

This two-part mythological saga is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of the year, with Ranbir Kapoor stepping into a dual role, and Amitabh Bachchan’s voice adding that extra divine touch. If this teaser update has you buzzing, just wait until the trailer drops!

Sai Pallavi is set to play the role of Sita alongside RK. It’s also said that Sunny Deol is gearing up to bring the mighty Hanuman to life. And let’s not forget about Lara Dutta who will play the role of Kaikeyi, Bobby Deol starring as Kumbhakarana. But, only time will unwrap more details.
