Ramadan Checklist 2023, 5 Healthy Dishes To Include In Your Iftar Meals

Health and fitness have become even more vital than before, and with Ramadan starting soon, here are five healthy dishes you must consider including in your Iftar daily. These dishes will not only help you achieve your daily fibre and protein intake but will also ensure that you celebrate the holy month of Ramadan in good shape.

  1. Hummus For Iftar: Hummus is made of Chickpeas and is a great source of protein and fibre. Being a great source of plant-based protein, it has nearly eight grams of protein per serving. You can use it as a dip with your kebabs during Iftar or add it to the salad to get the necessary nutrients. It is really filling, which makes it the best Iftar option.

2. Dates & Figs Fudge: Every Iftar has at least two sweetdishes, and if you want to relish sweet guilt free, then this dessert is perfect for you. Made with natural sweetners like Dates and Figs, this fudge is a great source of iron and is rich in antioxidnats. Made with dates, peanut butter, seasme seeds and figs, one dish offers all the nutrients. Say no to white processed sugar and enjoy this guilt free.

3. Grilled Chicken Salad: If you love enjoying some good chicken for your Iftar, give it a healthy spin by making a salad out of it. This way, you will not only get the right amount of protein intake, but the added fibre will also keep your bowl movements in check. For flavouring, you can add some sauces.

4. Brown Rice Biryani: No Ramadan or Eid celebration is complete without Biryani. And if you love cooking and relishing biryani quite often during Ramadan, try replacing white rice with brown rice for the dish. Brown rice is a great source of Manganese, Iron, Calcium and other nutrients. It also keeps blood sugar levels in check, reduces the risk of heart disease risk, and aids to weight control.

5. Air Fry Snacks: If you love enjoying Chicken Tandoori, Paneer Tikka, Corn Patice and other such things for Iftar and don’t want to skip them, ensure that you find a healthier way to cook them. Instead of using tons of oil, you can make these recipes in an Air frier with bare minimum oil. This will satisfy your cravings while keeping your calories in check.

Make sure to add these dishes to your Ramadan 2023 Iftar list.
