Hrithik Roshan used to stammer, Rakesh Roshan Praises Son!
In a recent interview, Rakesh Roshan got candid about his son’s struggle with stammering and how it affected him. He recalled a heartbreaking incident when Hrithik, during an event in Dubai, wanted to say just two simple words – “Thank you, Dubai!” – but found himself stuck at the letter ‘D’.
The director shared, “I used to feel bad. He wants to say so many things. He is so well-educated and very intelligent. But he used to hold himself back because of his stuttering. Once, I remember that he was in Dubai, and he wanted to just say thank you, Dubai. And he used to get stuck on the word D…”
The Krrish director shared, “He has locked himself inside the bathroom. To learn those two sentences by heart, to say thank you, Dubai. So I used to feel bad, that he is such a progressive man, but something is holding him back.”
Hrithik went all out to fight this challenge and made it his mission to improve and trained himself rigorously. “He worked so hard on it. He would wake up in the morning and read the newspaper for an hour in English, Hindi, and Urdu. And now he doesn’t stutter. For the last 10, 12, 14 years,” Rakesh proudly revealed.

Hrithik has openly spoken about his speech struggles in past interviews, revealing that childhood wasn’t easy for him. He often found himself anxious, especially in school, where his stammering made even the simplest conversations a nightmare. But instead of giving up, he fought back and how! The result? we all know!
