In a world where Shah Rukh Khan, the King of Bollywood, is still not immune to trolls, Prithviraj is wondering why we’re so obsessed with dragging newcomers like Ibrahim. In a recent chat with India Today, the Salaar actor made it crystal clear: criticism is inevitable, so get over it. “See, Ibrahim will be wonderful in this film, but that’s not going to put an end to anything. If Shah Rukh Khan sir can still be criticised, why can’t Ibrahim Ali Khan be criticised? Come on. From where I come from, Mohanlal sir and Mammootty sir are still criticised,” he said.
While the internet might be quick to judge Ibrahim’s acting chops post his OTT debut Nadaaniyan, Prithviraj says the boy’s hustle is no joke.
If you thought one hit film gives you immunity from trolls, think again. Prithviraj served up some harsh Bollywood reality: “You think, ‘Oh, that one blockbuster,’ and then it gets easier? No. It does not. It never gets easier. The idea is that you start really enjoying the grind.” This is literally the actor’s rulebook for survival in showbiz.
