Preity Zinta Shares the Emotional Toll of Failed IVF Attempts: “Sometimes, I just wanted to bang my head”

Remember the OG dimpled queen of Bollywood? Yes, we’re talking about the one and only Preity Zinta, who ruled the 90s and early 2000s like nobody’s business. Before Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone stole the spotlight, Preity was the darling of every rom-com lover. But after her last big-screen appearance in the 2018 flick Bhaiya Ji Superhit, she seemed to have taken a hiatus from the films. While we’ve seen her cheering on her IPL team, Punjab Kings, at the stadium, she’s mostly been off the radar. She is setted into a cozy London life with her husband, Gene Goodenough, and their adorable twins, Gia and Jai.

Preity Zinta Gets Real About IVF Struggles

In a candid chat with Vogue, Preity Zinta bared her heart about the emotional rollercoaster she faced while trying IVF before turning to surrogacy for her twins. The bubbly star we adored on-screen revealed a much more vulnerable side, sharing, “I have good days and bad days just like everyone else. Sometimes it’s a struggle to always be happy-go-lucky in real life, especially when you’re going through a tough phase.” She didn’t shy away from admitting that during those grueling IVF cycles, she sometimes wanted to “bang her head against the wall and cry” or just shut out the world altogether.

But even in those tough times, she found a way to keep going. Preity emphasized the importance of balancing the highs and lows, especially when you’re in the public eye. “So yes, it has to be a balancing act for all actors,” she added with her trademark honesty.

Preity also spilled the tea on how she navigates the often unrealistic world of social media. She’s all about keeping it real, even if that means her DIY content isn’t always perfectly polished. “Most of the stuff (not all) I put on social media is usually shot and edited by me, and sometimes you’ll see my head is cut off or my leg is cut off in certain frames, but I’m okay with that,” she confessed, proving that authenticity is still her vibe.

The Comeback We’ve All Been Waiting For

Now, here’s the news that’s got us all excited! Preity Zinta is ready to make her grand comeback! After taking time to focus on her family, she’s stepping back into the spotlight with Lahore 1947 alongside Sunny Deol.

And just like that, Preity Zinta is back, proving that you can have it all – even if it means navigating a few bumps along the way.
