PhonePe Arrives in UAE: Easy UPI Payments Now at NEOPAY Terminals

PhonePe's Expansion to UAE Enables Easy UPI Payments at NEOPAY Terminals for Indian Travelers

Great news for Indian travelers! PhonePe, one of India’s popular digital payment apps, is now available in the UAE. This means you can now make quick and easy payments using UPI (Unified Payments Interface) at NEOPAY terminals across the UAE.

Convenient Payments for Indian Travelers

The users can now use their app to make payments at various places in the UAE, including restaurants, entertainment spots, and retail stores. This is made possible through a partnership between Mashreq Bank and NPCI International Payments Limited (NIPL), allowing NEOPAY terminals to accept UPI payments.

PhonePe in the UAE: How It Works

With PhonePe in the UAE, Indian travelers can pay in Indian Rupees (INR), making the process smooth and straightforward. Just scan the QR code at any NEOPAY terminal, and the payment will be processed at the current exchange rate, eliminating the need for currency conversion.

This collaboration combines PhonePe’s advanced payment technology with Mashreq’s innovative business practices. It not only makes traveling and shopping easier but also plans to introduce inward remittance services soon. This will allow money transfers without the need for complex details like IFSC codes or bank account numbers.
