In an exclusive chat with Raj Shamani on his podcast, Parineeti Chopra spilled the tea on the nepotism debate, setting the record straight once and for all.
“If being related to Priyanka Chopra could’ve helped my career, then I wouldn’t have had any flops in my career,” Parineeti boldly declared, dropping some truth bombs like a seasoned pro. Yep, she’s been through the highs and lows of tinsel town, proving that even with a famous last name, success ain’t served on a silver platter.
She peeled back the layers on the whole nepotism saga, revealing the pressure that comes with any kind of showbiz connection. “The comparisons will never end,” she lamented, giving us a sneak peek into the struggles of carving her own path in the cutthroat world of Bollywood.
Parineeti continued, “So, what happens is, you can be a complete outsider, and it’s very difficult to survive. Or, you could be related to somebody and get that first meeting, but after that, your journey is your own.”
While nepotism may be up for debate, Parineeti ain’t holding back on the real deal: favoritism. She’s spilled the chai on feeling like the odd one out in certain Bollywood circles, missing out on gigs ’cause she didn’t play the networking game.
