Paresh Rawal reveals Hera Pheri 3 details
The OG Baburao Ganpatrao Apte is back in action, and this time, he’s giving us a major behind-the-scenes scoop on Hera Pheri 3! Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Paresh Rawal confirmed that Kartik Aaryan was indeed cast in the film, but there was one major catch – he was NEVER playing Raju!
Paresh clarified, “At that time, the story was different. They cast him thinking he would play Raju, but his character was completely different. This is what I know because even I didn’t hear the whole story.”
Why Is Kartik Aryan OUT of Hera Pheri 3?
The film’s script went through a massive transformation, and with that, Kartik Aaryan’s character vanished into thin air! Baburao didn’t just stop at Kartik’s exit; he had a few spicy things to say about why Phir Hera Pheri didn’t hit like the OG. According to him, the second film lost its innocence because people got “overconfident” and stuffed the movie with unnecessary sequences.
Paresh didn’t hold back when he said, “Not me, but everyone else became overconfident about themselves. Then the film lost its innocence. Sorry to say, but that film wasn’t made properly. I would tell Neeraj, ‘You are overstuffing it, it’s not necessary, man.’ I asked him to keep the same simplicity that the first part had. If you overstuff it, it will definitely get messy. People will laugh at everything. They’ll laugh even if they see someone running naked, but we don’t have to run naked. You should have a sense of proportion.”
Paresh Rawal Wants Hera Pheri 3 to Be Like Lage Raho Munna Bhai!
Now, this is interesting! Paresh Rawal gave a shoutout to Rajkumar Hirani’s Lage Raho Munna Bhai, calling it the perfect example of a well-made sequel! He said, “I only welcome Lage Raho Munna Bhai, the sequel to Munna Bhai MBBS. That’s a quantum leap. I salute you if you make a sequel like that.”
He’s got a point! If Hera Pheri 3 is done right, we might just be in for another cult classic!
