Just when fans were gearing up to grab popcorn and bite their nails in fear, the makers decided to hit the brakes! The thriller that had us waiting on the edge just got delayed, and we finally know why.
Sonakshi Sinha starrer Nikita Roy Release Gets a Sudden Detour
Nikita Roy and The Book of Darkness were locked and loaded for a June 27 release. But just hours before the big premiere, NVB Films hit pause and announced that the film had been pushed. The new release date? July 18.
Turns out, the reason behind this last-minute change is drama behind the scenes of the screens. The film was about to lock horns with none other than Kajol’s mythological thriller Maa. Instead of diving into a box office battle, the team chose peace, popcorn, and practicality and honestly, it’s a smart move.
NVB Films took to socials with a message that screamed maturity (and strategy): “Hi guys! We have found ourselves in the midst of multiple releases and a battle for screens… with advice from our well wishers in the fraternity, distributors and exhibitors, we have collectively decided to push our release to the 18th of July, so that we can reach a wider audience. Thank you for the immense love you have shown for the film so far, but you’ll have to wait a little longer, and we promise you, 18th July will be worth the wait! See you in the theatres!”. They thanked fans for the love and promised that this extra wait will be totally worth it. BRB, rescheduling movie night.
