Ras Al Khaimah Police have strategically deployed 107 traffic patrols across vital roads and intersections within the emirate. This comprehensive security initiative aims to enhance safety and guarantee a smooth flow of traffic during the festivities.

A joint and unified security plan, developed collaboratively among various entities, ensures that each plays a specialized role in securing the celebration. This initiative includes the allocation of over 25,000 parking spaces for the public, anticipating a large turnout for the New Year festivities.
Leadership Confirmation
Brigadier General Jamal Ahmed Al Tair, Acting Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, has confirmed the completion of preparations for the grand New Year’s celebration. The deployment of 107 traffic patrols, along with vehicles from other participating departments, will secure the main celebration area on Al Marjan Island.
Record-breaking Fireworks
Ras Al Khaimah is set to make history by attempting to break two Guinness World Records with its spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks show. The event is expected to draw tens of thousands of spectators from both inside and outside the emirate.
Preventive Measures in Place
As part of preventive measures, the Civil Defence Department will be on standby to address any emergencies during the celebrations. Brigadier Al Tair emphasized the utilization of advanced technology solutions, including the “smart surveillance” system derived from the ‘Safe City’ project.

The security plan involves the deployment of:

- 404 members of private security companies
- 7 ambulances
- 1 helicopter
- 4 operation rooms
- 4 sea rescue boats
- 10 civil defense vehicles
- 10 bicycles
- 3 cranes
- 4 land rescue patrols
- 16 scooters
- 3 golf carts
- 8 traffic sergeants
- 6 drones and
- 12 vehicle tugs.

Brigadier Al Tair highlighted that all preparations have been finalized in collaboration with strategic partners in Ras Al Khaimah. He urged the public to stay updated on alerts and instructions posted by authorities through the official social media accounts of Ras Al Khaimah Police.
To avoid traffic congestion, revelers are advised to arrive early, as main roads leading to Al Marjan Island will be closed for vehicular traffic at 10 pm on New Year’s Eve. The security measures include the activation of the “smart surveillance” system, organization and security of transportation and event sites, and the intensified presence of security, traffic, and tourist police patrols at all celebration sites.
