Newest daddy in the Bollywood block, Sidharth Malhotra, is having the busiest season of his life. On one hand, he’s changing diapers and pulling night shifts with his baby girl, and on the other, he’s hustling to promote his upcoming rom-com Param Sundari. Sidharth made a power-packed stop at The Great Indian Kapil Show with his co-star Janhvi Kapoor!
Sidharth Malhotra Opens up About Embracing Fatherhood
Kapil, being Kapil, obviously had to pull Sid’s leg about romance. He cheekily asked how he keeps the mush going on-screen post marriage, and Sidharth shot back with the grin, “Bhai, hum saal mein ek ya do baar romance karte hain screen pe, aap toh har hafte karte ho (Bhai, we do romance on screen once or twice a year, but you do it every week…).”
Sid also gave fans a sneak peek into his daddy diaries. Forget late-night shoots, the actor is now clocking 3 AM wake-up calls for feeding sessions. He laughed it off, saying his entire schedule is upside down but in the cutest possible way. “Arey pura schedule change ho gaya, abhi main waheen se aa raha hoon subeh subeh. Chahe woh khaane peene ka dhyaan ho, unke sleeping pattern ho, aaj kal raat ko late nights chal rahi hai par alag kisam ki! Teen chaar baje feeding ho raha (Arre, the entire schedule has changed, I just came from there early in the morning. Whether it’s taking care of food, sleep patterns — these days it’s all about late nights, but of a different kind! Feedings are happening at 3–4 AM),” he quipped.
With his trademark charm, Sid joked that he’s currently playing the “supporting actor” role in real life, just standing by while wifey Kiara takes the lead. He shares, “Main toh abhi supporting actor play kar raha hoon, jo sirf wahan pe khade hoke dekh raha hai (Right now, I’m just playing the role of a supporting actor, the one who just stands there and watches).”
But when Archana Puran Singh grilled him on diaper duty, Sid didn’t shy away. He confessed, “I’ve changed diapers, and I’ve even experienced those ‘oops moments’ without a diaper too.”
