MINISO Fluffy Carnival Pop-up Brings Vinyl Plush Craze to Dubai Festival City Mall

Dubai residents and visitors have a new reason to head to Dubai Festival City Mall, as MINISO has introduced its Fluffy Carnival Pop-up, launched on 15 August 2025. Spanning more than 1,000 square metres, the space is designed as an immersive playground of colour and creativity, featuring over 1,000 products with a focus on vinyl plush blind boxes and collaborations with more than 50 global IPs.

Around 70 percent of the pop-up’s range is dedicated to co-branded merchandise, making it a treasure trove for collectors and fans of international favourites such as Sanrio, WAKUKU, and Stitch.

Celebrity Appearance Draws Fans

The launch was marked by a high-energy opening event that drew thousands of shoppers. Viral celebrity Bessan Ismail joined fans for live unboxing sessions of MINISO’s vinyl plush blind boxes, turning the occasion into an interactive celebration. Known for her vibrant social presence, Bessan brought together over 100 fans for a special blind box activity, further amplifying the buzz both inside the mall and across social media platforms.

The pop-up recorded strong sales from day one, with the vinyl plush series accounting for nearly 90 percent of purchases. First-day sales exceeded AED 150,000, a clear sign of the growing appeal of MINISO’s IP collaborations among UAE consumers.

A Destination for Content Creators

Beyond shopping, the Fluffy Carnival has been crafted as a space for experiences. Visitors can step into themed installations, interactive photo booths, and life-size displays that double as Instagrammable backdrops. These elements have quickly turned the store into a hotspot for content creators looking to capture playful moments.

Shoppers have been seen sharing their experiences online, extending the reach of the pop-up beyond the mall itself. The atmosphere has been described as lively and vibrant, with families, teenagers, and young professionals all taking part in the activities.

Dubai Festival City Mall

Dubai Festival City Mall continues to position itself as more than just a shopping destination. With its unique mix of retail, dining, and entertainment, the mall offers the perfect backdrop for pop-ups that combine commerce with creativity. By bringing the MINISO Fluffy Carnival to this location, the mall has once again cemented its place as a hub for global trends and community experiences in Dubai.

Only for a limited period

The Fluffy Carnival Pop-up is open for a limited period, giving shoppers a chance to explore exclusive merchandise and enjoy the lively setup before it closes at the end of August. For fans of vinyl plush and blind boxes, this is a rare opportunity to find exclusive collectibles not available elsewhere.

MINISO’s Fluffy Carnival Pop-up has added a fresh dose of excitement to Dubai’s retail scene, capturing the city’s love for unique, trend-driven shopping experiences.
