The film industry has recently witnessed a remarkable expansion, as the realms of Hindi and South cinema converge to bring audiences the finest of both worlds. Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif and the adored star of South cinema, Vijay Sethupathi, are set to share the screen in the upcoming movie titled Merry Christmas. Building anticipation among fans, the first poster is out along with the official release date.

Sharing her excitement, Katrina Kaif took to her Instagram account to reveal a mesmerizing poster of the film Merry Christmas. The poster evokes a strong sense of retro and vintage aesthetics, transporting viewers to a bygone era. Both Katrina and Vijay sport serious expressions, adding an intriguing element to the visual. Katrina is seen adorned in a floral outfit, while Vijay looks dapper in a suit. The poster beautifully captures the essence of old Bombay, featuring the iconic kaali peeli taxi and a regal cinema theatre. Accompanied by the captivating line, “Raat jitni sangeen hogi, subah utni rangeen hogi (The more intense the night, the more vibrant the morning).”
The poster also disclosed the release date, with a fun caption that stated, “We decided to cut short the wait for the Christmas cheer! #MerryChristmas releasing in theatres near you ON 15th DECEMBER 2023.”
The film Merry Christmas stars Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in two languages, with different supporting actors. Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand join the Hindi version, while Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Rajesh Williams, and Kevin Jay Babu appear in the Tamil version.
The movie also introduces child actor Pari and features exciting cameos by Radhika Apte and Ashwini Kalsekar. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Merry Christmas is produced by Ramesh Taurani, Jaya Taurani, Sanjay Routray, and Kewal Garg.
