The reason for the meet-and-greet? Honouring Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary and inviting the PM to commemorate his unmatched legacy.

Celebrating 100 Years of Cinematic Brilliance
As the Kapoor fam gears up to celebrate Raj Kapoor’s centenary, they’re pulling out all the stops. With a special film festival, aptly titled Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival, the event will showcase ten of his most iconic movies. This will include Awaara, Shree 420, Sangam, and Mera Naam Joker. The festival promises to light up 40 cities and 135 cinemas across India from December 13 to 15, 2024.
The tribute isn’t just a walk down memory lane; it’s a celebration of how Raj Kapoor’s artistry. It shaped Indian cinema and continues to inspire generations.
