Karan Johar opens up about the Tough Realities of Parenthood: My Kids Ask Whose Stomach They Were Born In

Karan Johar – the man who’s not just a filmmaking maestro but also a proud single daddy to the adorable twins, Yash and Roohi. Embracing fatherhood via surrogacy back in 2017, KJo, alongside his supermom Hiroo Johar, is navigating the rollercoaster of parenthood. And it comes with alot of unexpected twists!

Karan Johar Opens Up About Yash and Roohi’s Curious Questions

In a candid chat with Faye D’Souza on her YouTube channel, Karan shared how his kids have started to ask some seriously deep questions about their birth. “It’s a modern family setup and quite the unusual circumstance,” Karan explained. “Now, I’m dealing with questions like ‘Whose stomach was I born in?’ and ‘Why isn’t mumma actually mumma, but my grandmother?’” He added, “I’m consulting school counselors to navigate these questions. Parenting is tough, and it doesn’t get easier.”

Being a single dad in India isn’t just about changing diapers and school runs. It’s a challenge to societal norms and expectations. People often have a hard time wrapping their heads around the idea of a single father, especially one as high-profile as Karan Johar. Breaking the mold isn’t easy.

He’s also backing Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumar, featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, along with a stellar ensemble cast including Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Akshay Oberoi, and Maneish Paul.
