Karan Johar Gets Real About Animal: Speaking His Mind Despite the Heat!

At a recent award ceremony, Karan Johar once again stirred the pot by delving into the ongoing debate surrounding ‘Animal.’ Addressing the buzz, he didn’t shy away from expressing his admiration for the film’s treatment.

In true KJo fashion, the director didn’t sugarcoat his thoughts. He admitted to being swept away by the narrative, applauding its portrayal of a deeply flawed character. “I saw it as a character film based on a character who was deeply dysfunctional, inherently violent, who had many emotional issues—and I loved the treatment,”  he declared, unapologetically defending his stance.

Despite the backlash, Karan Johar stood firm, acknowledging the mixed reactions his praise had garnered.  “There are people who have called me and expressed their opinions—and agreed or disagreed with me. I have to be honest about my emotion attached to a film I’ve seen, and if it comes with criticism or flak, then I have to accept it with open arms. And if it comes with an embrace, I have to accept that as well,” he asserted, brushing off the haters like a pro.
