Karan Johar Criticizes Kettan Singh for Mimicking Him, Comedian Offers Apology

Karan Johar is known to be one of the ultimate filmmaker extraordinaire of Bollywood! With a career spanning over two decades, KJo has crafted cinematic masterpieces that have left audiences spellbound. But even the king of Bollywood isn’t immune to a little criticism now and then, especially when it comes to his unique sense of style and unabashed opinions. And this time, the target of his is none other than comedian Kettan Singh!

Karan Johar VS Kettan Singh: The Showdown Begins

When a promo from the comedy show ‘Madness Machayenge – India Ko Hasayenge’ featuring a questionable impersonation of Karan Johar made its rounds, the man himself wasted no time in airing his grievances! Taking to his Instagram stories, KJo didn’t hold back, slamming the mimicry as “exceptionally poor taste.” In a world where trolling runs rampant, KJo made it clear that such disrespect from within the industry was a bitter pill to swallow.

Bollywood powerhouse Ektaa Kapoor echoed Karan’s sentiments, calling out the prevalence of “ugly humour” in the industry. Standing firmly by her colleague’s side, Ektaa emphasized the need for comedians to focus on wit rather than taking cheap shots at the expense of industry veterans.

Feeling the heat of KJo’s wrath, comedian Kettan Singh wasted no time in issuing a heartfelt apology to the director. Acknowledging his misstep, Kettan expressed remorse for any offense caused, citing his admiration for Karan’s work and clarifying that his intention was purely to entertain.

Talking to Times Now, he shared, “I would like to apologise to Karan (Johar) sir. First of all, whatever impersonation I do, because I watch a lot of Karan Johar on the coffee show, I am a fan of his work. I have seen his latest film, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani 5 to 6 times. I am a huge fan of his work and his show. If my actions hurt him, I would like to apologise to him. My intention was not to hurt him. I just wanted to entertain the audience but if I did something extra, I would like to say sorry to him”.
